updating to latest SWC throws error

Postby saumya » Fri Aug 24, 2012 7:04 am

hi,
I have updated my project to use the current lib opentok_v0.91.60.swc . as soon as I do this, my application suddently throws back the errors as below in debug Flashplayer 11.4

Error #2044: Unhandled AsyncErrorEvent:. text=Error #2095: flash.net.NetStream was unable to invoke callback onPingData. error=ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property onPingData not found on flash.net.NetStream and there is no default value.
at SubscriberVideo/rtmfpConnectedHandler()

Any help would be a nice help.

Hi Saumya, we don't know why you are getting this error, but we're currently looking into it and will get back to you in a few hours. Sit tight!

Hi Saumya!

You've stumped us. We had a couple of people here in our SF office take a look and we're not sure what the problem is. We're sending over to more engineers in our Australia office to see if they can figure it out. Stay tuned - and thanks for your patience.

Hi Saumya,

I spoke to engineering and it seems like the only change that stood out for onPingData is that we added stats logging for P2P sessions, which shouldn't cause an issue. So I'll have to ask, did you just start generating P2P sessions? If you do, can you try generating a few sessions without P2P enabled and see if you are still getting the same error?

Thanks!

hey Song,
you are right about the P2P thing.

I tried without P2P and everything works fine, the problem is only with P2P. But that is a problem too. I can not move on with my application now, if I update, since we reply heavily on P2P.

thanks

Thanks for checking saumya. Is this blocking you? There's a bug in the error logging, but it should be functioning normally (ie you wouldn't notice in non dev Flash player). Let us know if we're interpreting your issue incorrectly.

Hey Saumya -

Sorry to hear, we misunderstood. What exactly is happening when these errors are thrown? Are you not able to connect?

I think you guys got me right, there is no mis-understanding in that regard.

Upgrading to the lastest SWC throws error(Flash debug player) when I am connecting with a P2P session.

I could not go live with that situation (so could not test any more with the latest lib), I reverted to your old library and hoping to get a new lib which have fixed the problem. I do not think I have any other options left for now.

Thanks for your reply.

Finally current version of the lib (opentok_v0.91.63) is working and does not throw any errors.
