Archive Not Found - Using staging environment

Postby csmith » Sat Sep 08, 2012 8:56 pm

Team,

I am trying to archive and download the video (for assessing the video quality for later editing).

I am using staging environment. Does the staging environment allow the archiving of videos and retrieval

for testing?

Here is the below error, while trying to retrieve the manifest file.

<Errors><error code="404"><itemNotFound message="Archive 7e607972-1f8f-466f-b6b4-fcc9a6f31e50 not found"/></error></Errors>

Hi there

You should move to our production environment. Staging archives get deleted after 3 days by default, and we are planning on removing staging altogether within the next week. To move to production environment, do these:

1. Change the argument in create_session in your server-side SDK to point to production
2. Change http://staging.tokbox.com/v0.91/js/TB.min.js to http://static.opentok.com/v0.91/js/TB.min.js
3. Launch your app here: http://tokbox.com/opentok/api/tools/js/launch

Hi Rimple

Just update to our latest .NET SDK version—it has removed staging and forces everybody to production. Get it here: https://github.com/opentok/Opentok-.NET-SDK.

Hi Rimple,

I could not understand your last email. To iterate what Jon had said, archives recorded in staging are automatically removed after 3 days, so it's very likely that your previous archives had be removed. To solve this problem, you need to update to the latest version of .NET SDK and create new archives. You will not be able to access archives recorded in a staging environment from production.
