Hi, i have the same error while trying to connect with application in different operating systems, specially (Win7 with WinXP) while connecting by applications running under (Win7 - Win7), (Win XP - Win XP) everything workes fine.

yes, my own application. p2p are enabled.

can you check if there are active firewalls on your machine (in Network options of the Windows machine)? If there are can you turn them off and test again?

There are firewalls on certain Window's machines by default which causes connection time outs.
