Embedding and skins

Postby Olive14 » Fri May 11, 2012 7:41 am

Hello,

Can anyone please let me know how the embedding process of TokBox takes places? Are there any custom skins or is all skin design done on the end user side?

Many Thanks

Embedding a tokbox Plug n Play can be done by retrieving a code from here.

The only embed that is skin-able is tokshow. At the end of the URL in the embed code, you add a "stylesheet_path" to the end of it to point it to the stylesheet to override the existing one.

Ex:

Code: Select all
api.opentok.com/hl/tokshow/tokshowembedcode/fan?size=small&stylesheet_path=http://yourdomainabcdef.com/test.css

or:

Code: Select all
api.opentok.com/hl/tokshow/tokshowembedcode/fan?stylesheet_path=http://yourdomainabcdef.com/test.css

John,

Thank you for your reply. I want to integrate TalkBox onto my website as a webcam application. Once the code is embedded what determines the style / look of the player on the website itself? Is this something that is customized on the website end?

Thanks,
Daniel

Which specific app are you looking to embed into your site? If you are talking about using the OpenTok api, then the player is customized by the website itself. There are a few things that can't be customized (such as the look of buttons and the tokbox logo), but other than that, everything is up to the developer.

Here you go: http://static.opentok.com/opentok/embed ... 2d03dd.css
It changes whenever we do a new release, just so we can break the cache for clients whose browsers may have cached older versions.
