We are trying to implement just the text chat portion of group chat. We would like to have a normal broadcast video of one person, but many people text chatting beneath. When we implement group chat, it reduced the video window, as if the video window is awaiting more presenters. We will only have one presenter. Any tips?

We don't offer text chat, but here's a list of providers who do:

Any of those should be able to be implemented relatively easily, good luck!

can you explain what the group chat embed is? is that embedding one of these different services?

The groupchat embed is a video chat tool you can embed onto your website without programming knowledge. It only has video chat, so you will need to integrate text chat yourself. Apologies for the confusion.
