iOS can't subscribe to stream from Mac

Postby pmaloka » Mon May 21, 2012 7:38 pm

I'm trying to connect to a mac and I'm getting this error on iPhone.

"The stream contains no media that can be subscribed to."

The mac is showing the stream from the iPhone, but the iPhone is not showing anything.

The mac is also showing the output from it's camera, so it seems to be working.

Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro, Lion
iPhone 4s, iOS 5.1.1

Looks like you're setup on a P2P stream there. iOS does not currently support P2P streaming. This is something we're investigating. Create a new session that is not P2P enabled and you should be good to go!

Sorry, if this is a stupid question, but how can you change the stream to be non-p2p? I have this same issue.

Thanks!

When you're creating a session you need to specify that it is not a P2P enabled stream.

This is done in the server side library you're using to create OpenTok Sessions.

For reference:
http://www.tokbox.com/opentok/api/tools ... aries.html

Specify "disabled" for p2p.preference
