We keep testing the WebRTC version and with some participants we are seeing the following error:

Timed out while waiting for the Video to load the stream. This could be because someone is behind a Firewall or Symmetric NAT

There is no firewall so we are probably talking about a Symmetric NAT, which makes me wonder, how is WebRTC tokbox finding the "other side" via STUN? Is there a way to fix it?

Hi! Thanks, as usual, for reporting this. If you are behind a symmetric NAT, it looks like we can't do anything about this without relaying the video across our servers. We are working on this problem (it is not an easy one, so not something in the next week or even next few weeks) - until we find a solution please use the Flash stack!

We will and we will further investigate the networks config causing this (it might not be a symmetric NAT after all)

Another question, does the API generate an event when this error happens so we can catch it and act upon it?

Hi Victor,

The API should dispatch a 1013 P2P Connection Failed exceptionEvent. Documentation on how to listen for those events here: http://tokbox.com/opentok/api/tools/js/ ... Event.html.
