Hello there

I am new to .Net 4.0 framework and new to other technologies also i

got my first assignment to do a conference call on web. we are

currently using the Silverlight as our web technology. after lot of

research i came to know that OpenTok API is the only solution for my

assignment. The API codes which are available are in Java Ruby php5

and Python and there is nothing for .Net. :(

the client side code (Java Script) we can implement but how to

implement server side code.

Can any body please guid me through the same ?

Under "Third Party Contributions" on the FAQ page here:
        http://www.tokbox.com/opentok/support/f ... dquestions
You will see that there is a .NET server-side library available. It mimics the terminology and workflows of the other server-side libraries and so following the appropriate
tutorial for server-side should have you ready to go.
Best.

Hi Melih

Thanks for the quicker reply

I had downloaded the .NetSDK from the given link. but is there any

sample application where I can see all the implementation of that SDK

for my ref.

one more thing I tried something from the given sample code in

tutorials which is completely in html and java script. It works fine.

but when I use my APIKey and Security Key I am not able to connect to

session and hence not able to publish my video.

Is there any thing where I am making mistake ?

Please guide me through..

Thanks

Ashwin

Hi Ashwin
There is sample code in the comments at the top of the OpenTokSDK_Net.cs file. Other than that we don't have any more sample code specific to the .NET SDK. We have more sample code in PHP and an explanation of what is needed in the OpenTok server-side libraries reference. The .NET SDK has the same GenerateToken and CreateSession methods that the other SDKs have so you should be able to follow along.
As for using our sample code if you are going to use your own APIKey you should create your own session and generate a token using the .NET SDK. Otherwise you can just use the "devtoken" in staging. If it still doesn't work after that then let me know.

Hi Adam

I have some more questions...

1) While accessing the camera and microphone detection of publisher

when he wants to publish his video the Allow / Deny window is

appeared. Can we avoid this pop-up of allowing and denying access or

can we modify the message of that window? If Yes how?

2) Second problem is in the video which is publishing when my mouse

is over the video the Setting button voice control button and on

left top corner tokbox link gets visible and enabled my question is

can we avoid the left top corner (tok box link)link getting

displayed ? if Yes how?

Thanks

Hi Ashwin
1) The Allow / Deny window is part of Adobe's privacy security and is there to prevent developers from using a camera or microphone without a user's permission. They do not provide a way to edit or modify that process.
What we have done is provide a much nice interface for letting the user select the camera and microphone by using our DevicePanel. However the user is still going to see Adobe's Privacy Settings window on first usage as that is required.
http://www.tokbox.com/opentok/build/doc ... Panel.html
2) The TokBox link + icon in the top-left corner of the publishing window is part of our current API offering and is not removable.
Thanks
